Hi @Pknuk,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
An E6 error on the HP ENVY 6065e All-in-One Printer usually indicates a paper jam or a carriage blockage. Here's how you can troubleshoot and resolve this issue.
Clear Paper Jam
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Check for paper jams:
- Open the input and output trays.
- Look for any stuck paper in the input, output, or under the ink cartridge access area.
- Gently remove any jammed paper, making sure no pieces are left behind.
- Inspect the paper path:
- Open the ink cartridge access door and look inside for any debris or obstructions.
- Move the carriage manually to see if it is free to move left and right.
Reset the Printer
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Wait for the printer to go through its initialization process.
- Check if the error clears.
Ensure Carriage Movement
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Check if the ink cartridge carriage can move freely.
- If it’s stuck, gently move it to the center of the printer.
Check the Printer on Your Phone
If the printer is showing as "Blocked" on your phone:
- Ensure the printer and phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the HP Smart app and try these steps:
- Remove the printer from the app and re-add it.
- Run a printer diagnostic tool from the app.
Perform a Factory Reset (if required)
Reset the printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it for about 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in, turn it on, and try setting it up again via the HP Smart app.
Reconfigure your printer:
- Open the HP Smart app and follow the instructions to re-add the printer.
- Test by printing a document or photo.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
