Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Envy 6455e makes a constant high-pitched, low-volume whining sound. It’s dog whistle-like, but just low enough to be audible to humans. It annoys me, and I think it drives my cat absolutely nuts. The only way to stop it is to unplug. Printer is about a year old, with light, at-home use. I have seen other similar posts, but no real acknowledgement by hp. (hp, please do not tell me to unplug it and plug it back in.)

This could be a hardware issue with the unit and may need repair. We need to provide the solution to this issue in a private message as this information cannot be shared on a public post.
