@swann823

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Flower_Bud is at your service.

As I understand, your printer does not recognize the paper in the tray,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

How many papers do you have on Photo Tray?

What is the paper size and paper type?

Make sure that the paper is loaded properly, adjust the print settings

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue. Click the link: https://hp.care/2rihLOJ

Follow steps mentioned below "Printer does not pick up paper from the input tray or photo tray"

You could refer to this article to print photos: https://hp.care/2AUvZrZ

Let me know how this goes,

For I shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,

And your device is up and running again,

Have a great day 🙂

Good Luck!

My HP Envy Photo 7855 is always sending my Mac a message to load paper even when I'm not using it.  Despite the message, if I click OK it loads and prints just fine.  I'd just like it to be honest and only say that when it is true.
