Hi @YK81
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy Inspire 7200e is not printing in color from your Mac running macOS Sonoma, but it can copy in color, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Check Printer Settings:
- Open the document you want to print.
- Go to File > Print.
- In the print dialog, check the settings to ensure that the color option is selected (look for "Color" instead of "Grayscale" or "Black & White").
Update Drivers:
- Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed. You can check for updates on the HP website or through the Apple Menu > System Settings > Printers & Scanners, then select your printer and check for updates.
Reset Printing System:
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list and select Reset Printing System. This will remove all printers and reset settings, so you’ll need to add your printer again.
Check Color Profiles:
- Sometimes color profiles can affect printing. Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and check the color settings in the printer's options.
Use HP Smart App:
- If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store. It can provide additional options for printing and troubleshooting.
Firmware Update:
- Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
Test with Another Document/Application:
- Try printing from a different application or a different document to see if the issue is consistent across all files.
Check Mac's Color Settings:
- Go to System Settings > Displays > Color and check if your display color profile is correctly set, as it can sometimes affect print output.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
