HP ENVY Photo 7134 All-in-One Printer

The printer tales an incredibly long time for the print job to start after sending to printer.

It then takes a very long time to print the job, lots of stopping and starting. At one point during the printing, it pauses for a very long time (perhaps half a minute or more) and eventually cancels the print job spitting out a half printed page.

This all takes about 5 minutes or more to achieve a half printed page.

It seems unable to complete even the simpliest of print jobs .

It's fully up to date, no more software updates available.

I've turned off, disconnected, reconnected and turned back on both the computer and the printer several times.

It has plenty of ink.

I've run test pages from the printer itself and these all print fine.

Any suggestion on what to do next would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Hi @Lucy-Badger

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand that you are facing an issue with your printer, I am glad to assist you.

Please try clearing the print queue: Print jobs stuck in print queue (Windows, macOS)

Restart print spooler.

Press Win + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.

  1. Type services.msc in the text box and click OK. This will take you to the Services window where you can see all the services running on your system.
  2. Next, scroll down and look for the Print Spooler service.
  3. Once you find the service, right-click on it and select Restart.
  4. If the service is already running, stop it first from the context menu and then restart it again.

Hope this helps!
