We’ve had this printer for about 6 months and for the past week, I’ve had to restart the printer (unplug, replug) at least once a day. I try printing from a chrome book, an android device and an iPhone and none of the devices can connect to the printer so I restart it and then it starts printing like usual. It’s such a pain in the a to have to do this everyday, especially in the middle of class when my daughter is distance learning.

The printer also blinked amber maybe 2 or 3 times in the past week. It went back to normal after restarting. And on one occasion, the printer was completely off.

The firmware is up-to-date, there’s plenty of paper and ink (we have instant ink). None of our other devices act weird like this and this only started happening recently. I don’t know how else to fix this.

Hi @PForPanda,

I'd like to help!

I understand you're facing a printer offline issue.

Try the below steps-

First, print a network configuration page and take down the printer's IP address.

Press the resume and information button at the same time to print a configuration page.

Set a manual IP-

To set a manual IP and try the steps below -

--->Open a web browser (ex Chrome or Mozilla) and type in the printer's IP

--->then go to network ---> general ---> network protocols ---> select IPV4 only-->apply

--->go to wireless ---> wireless 802.11---> select manual ip ---> apply

--->Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS.

--->then go to settings on the main ews page --> power management ---> select sleep mode to max 15min

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
