Hp officejet pro 8025

I have did all the resetting several times on this huge paperweight.. yeah feel my frustration. First hp printer I had I gladly smashed due to it not being able to reset. This I got as a gift used it a few times. Now I get this error code. Can it be fixed? Is it still under warrantee? Or do I have to use it for anger management and throw it out of the window? Several products I have that were hp all garbage...

@Glimmer, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. Are you able to bypass this error and access the home screen of the printer?

Click here to check if the product is under warranty.

For now, let us try these steps:

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Update the printer firmware if possible

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your PC/Mac.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Check for any paper jams inside the printer and make sure the print carriage is moving freely. Refer to - Paper Jam Error

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Kumar...I did all that a few times there is no update as I just got it as a gift.  Again I wrote I did all the trouble shooting... maybe you just do a generic reply? I need real answers. Can this be rectified or is it Another crapola hp equipment... Sprocket after a few mos crapped out. I sent it back and never rec'd a new one....  my other printer wouldn't recognize new ink cartridges and yes I did all the procedures for that one to. So I threw it out of my window.  now this gift, another hp printer after using it a few times you get codes which procedures don't rectify. 👿  Seriously hp is garbage. Never in my life have I encountered so many problems with your products. I will check for warrantee but as I said I rec'd as a gift. Nothing seems to work procedures or your equipment.

I understand you have mentioned that you performed all the troubleshooting steps. However, I have to be specific on the steps that should be performed that may resolve this issue.

Did you send the Sprocket to HP? If it was under warranty, it would be replaced if any hardware issues are found.

As you have tried all the necessary steps and the error persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Yes I sent it back and they said they never rec'd it that was over a yr ago. I have no faith in hp any longer. I was a good customer as all my printers were hp amongst other electronics. All I had was issues with codes with each product. I am under warrantee with the gifted printer. Hopefully I do not have to mail it in to be fixed and can take it to a repair shop. I tell you this kumar I have stopped buying hp and will no longer accept a hp electronic ever. I disconnected power cords to printer reset my wifi router I did everything I found on this issue. Even put in new inks and checked for a paper jam. What good is a code that can't be fixed or even know what the issue is causing said error???  I am deeply dissappointed in hp Products. Not worth my time energy or my cash. I wouldn't recommend hp to anyone. 4 month old printer used a few times to get an unfixable event code shows that hp makes inferior product. It blows my mind... Thank you for your time.

I understand. As the printer is under warranty, kindly reach out to the HP Support team for a replacement. I'm sure the replacement printer would work better.
