I have been stuck on this blue screen with error code: 00829C98. I have looked at other posts and have tried hard resetting it, take out the cartridges, resetting while plugged in and unplugged, and nothing works. Can someone please tell me how to fix this or can an HP representative help me fix it or take it in for repair? The message does not go away and will not let me do anything.

Hi @Jesus39,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are getting an error message 00829C98 on your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
We need to perform a Semi full reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I never got a response on my request but I did find on the web where someone turned off their printer. Unplugged for five minutes and then plugged back in, turned it on. I did this and my error is finally gone. I tried unplugging for 60 seconds and all others times i saw, none worked before. The five minute technique did. I had to unplug it and plug it back on first so I could get the blue screen off for a minute THEN I did the turn off, unplug for five.
