Hi @Ken5419,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting the error code 024A493F on your HP Smart Tank 7602 All-In-One printer, which indicates a hardware issue. Typically, this error code relates to a problem with the ink system or printhead.
Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:
- Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 1-2 minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on again. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary errors.
- Check for Obstructions: Open the printer cover and check for any obstructions such as bits of paper or debris that may be blocking the printhead or the ink cartridges. Clean any visible debris carefully.
- Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink levels. Replace any empty or low ink cartridges.
- Reset the Printer: Sometimes, resetting the printer to its factory settings can resolve certain issues. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
- Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP support website. Update the firmware on an HP printer
Refer to this document: HP Smart Tank 7602 All-in-One User manual
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
