Hi @JJM72,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error code 0X83C0000A on HP Officejet 4630 E-All-In-One printers typically indicates an issue with the printer's firmware. Here are some steps you can try to clear this error.

  • Reset the printer: Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord from the back, wait for about a minute, then reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on. Sometimes, a simple reset can resolve the error.
  • Update the firmware: Visit the HP Support website, search for your printer model, and download the latest firmware available for it. Follow the instructions provided by HP to update the printer's firmware. Firmware updates often contain bug fixes and improvements that can resolve such errors.
  • Check for obstructions: Open the printer's front cover and check for any paper jams, foreign objects, or obstructions that may be causing the error. Clear any such obstructions carefully.
  • Check ink cartridges: Sometimes, issues with ink cartridges can also trigger error codes. Make sure all ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty. Try removing and reinserting the cartridges to ensure they are correctly seated.
  • Perform a semi-full reset: If the error persists, you can try performing a semi-full reset on the printer. This will reset the printer to its factory settings. To do this, press and hold the '#' and '3' buttons on the printer's control panel while reconnecting the power cord. Hold the buttons until the screen goes blank or resets.

Remember to follow the instructions carefully and handle the printer components gently to avoid causing further damage.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
