Turned off my printer using the power cord switch (which I have done many times before) and this time when I turned everything back on the message "The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed." Error Code 0xc19a0010. I have tried ALL the troubleshooting options given by HP. I deleted my printer from computer and reinstalled the software. Still says same thing. The part is $120.00 and I don't even know if that will work! Should I bother to buy the part? I feel like the printer is simply not recognizing the printhead device, or that is what I want the problem to be, at least!

Hi! @Maggy321, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand you are getting a printhead missing error 0xc19a0010 on your printer.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Try the steps recommended below.

Follow these steps to reset the printing mechanism.
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
   NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Also, try updating the printer firmware and check if it helps.

Update the printer firmware using this link. Click Here

Reseat the printhead up to three times

Sometimes error messages persist after inserting the printhead. To clear any error messages, reseat the printhead by repeating all steps in this solution up to three times.

If the issue still persists after trying out the steps, I would suggest you buy a new printer instead of replacing the print head as it would be cost-effective.

Please let me know the outcome.
Have a great day ahead! 🙂
