@MazMac3, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 0xc6fd0713 on HP printers typically indicates a critical hardware failure—usually related to the printer's ink system, printhead, or internal electronics. When this error appears, the printer often becomes non-functional, showing a message like “Functionality is disabled, please contact HP.”

Please try these steps,

Power Reset

Try a basic reset first:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check if the error clears. If not, continue.

Check the Cartridges:

  • Ensure that you are using original HP cartridges. Sometimes, generic cartridges can cause errors.
  • Remove and reinsert the cartridges to make sure they are properly seated.

Check for Firmware Updates

If the printer is operational enough to access menus (which may not be the case here):

  • Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer (menu path may vary).
  • Or use the HP Smart app on your PC/mobile to check for updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
