Hello,
I have checked the event log of my printer. There are a lot of “Info” event types with different error codes. Most noticeable is the code F0.01.04.0C and F0.03.2C.06. These have a very high number of “repetitions”.
What is this all about?
I also have the following problem with my printer. The display keeps going black. Sometimes the printer is still working, but nothing is displayed. Sometimes the printer hangs up completely and can only be restarted by unplugging it from the mains.

Hi @dohann42, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing a couple of issues with your HP Envy 6120e All-in-One Printer. Let's break down the problems and potential solutions:
Error Codes
- Error Code F0.01.04.0C: This error code often indicates a firmware-related issue. It might be related to the printer's internal processes and could be resolved by updating the firmware
- Error Code F0.03.2C.06: This code is less common and might not have a straightforward explanation available online. It could also be related to firmware or internal communication errors
Display Going Black
The issue with the display going black and the printer hanging up can be quite frustrating. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:
- Firmware Update: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can check for updates via the HP Smart app or the HP support website.
- Power Reset: Try performing a hard reset on your printer:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
- Turn on the printer
- Check Power Settings: Sometimes, power settings can cause the printer to go into a deep sleep mode. Adjust the sleep settings or disable Eco Mode if available.
- Reinstall Printer Drivers: There might be an issue with the printer drivers. Try reinstalling or updating them from the HP support website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
