Product: HP Deskjet 1110
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra

After re-installing the software and adding the printer I tried to print a test page following verification in the easy start instructions and I received a notification that it quit unexpectedly and also that there is a filter failure. I have not used this printer in a year due to moving away and back again. What can I do?

Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Update printer firmware

Update software on Mac 

 

Further, I'd recommend you uninstall the existing HP printer software on your computer. Refer to the document HP Printers - Uninstalling HP Printer Software (Mac) for help.

 

Now, add the printer back and try printing.
