Product: HP OfficeJet 5740 e-All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

On longer print jobs, the printer starts making a "banging" sound on each linefeed.  Then it stops printing and gives me an error message saying the print head or ink cartridge carrier is stuck.  I have to clear it before it will continue.  Is there a fix for this?  Don't be afraid to tell me there isn't one, I'd like an excuse to go get a new printer anyway.  I just need to justify it to the War Department.
