Hi @Bev-C,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code "Oxc19a0023" on an HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer usually indicates an issue with the ink system or printhead. Since you've already replaced the cartridges and the error persists, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue.
- Reset the Printer: Sometimes, a simple reset can clear out temporary errors. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 1-2 minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check for Obstructions: Ensure that there are no obstructions or debris around the printhead or ink cartridge area. Sometimes, a piece of paper or debris can interfere with the functioning of the printer.
- Check Ink Cartridge Installation: Double-check that the ink cartridges are properly installed. Make sure they're securely inserted and that any protective tabs or stickers have been removed.
- Clean the Printhead: If the printhead is clogged, it can cause printing issues. Most printers have a utility in the settings menu that allows you to clean the printhead. You can try running the printhead cleaning utility to see if it helps.
- Update Firmware and Drivers: Ensure that your printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated software can lead to compatibility issues.
- Perform a Hard Reset: A hard reset involves disconnecting the power and USB cables from the printer while it's on. Then, hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Reconnect the cables and turn the printer on to see if the error clears.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
