Hello,
I am helping my mom with this printer ink error. She went to Staples to purchase HP ink 62 color and black, upon installing the error popped up so we started to trouble shoot.
-We have removed and reinstalled the ink cartridges a dozen times. Mom has had this printer for around a year, so changing the ink, not her first rodeo. 😉
-We have cleaned the ports and connectors with a lint free cloth and reinstalled, twice.
-While the printer was on, we have unplugged the power from the back of the printer and the wall to reset about a half a dozen times with NO LUCK. 😕
-We have even moved the plug from a strip and plugged directly into the wall..
...to no avail!
Next?
Thank you for your time,
Pauline

@BrownFamily5, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Try single-cartridge mode and check which ink cartridge is defective.
Insert only one ink cartridge in the printer and try making a standalone photocopy of that color.
