I own both an Officejet Pro 8610 and an 8620. I've used the 8620 much more than the 8610 and both have never had anything other than genuine HP ink. Over the last two days, both printers have failed with the error code 0xc19a0003 - the printhead appears to be missing, not detected or improperly installed. I've tried all the troubleshooting tips to no avail. My biggest problem is that I purchased the XL ink 5 pack for almost $200 and it's been opened so it can't be returned. If it matters, the 8620 was connected and I printed a page successfully. About 30 minutes later, I tried to print the same page and it was extremely faint but the data was there. I replaced the black cartridge, which was low,but which hadn't generated any warnings, and that's when the error message occured. I hooked up the 8610 and got the same message.
Help!!! and thanks!

Hi @TommyNY,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are getting 0xc19a0003 error on your HP Officejet Pro 8610 and HP Officejet Pro 8620 printer.
Please follow the steps listed below to reset the printer.
1. Turn the printer on if it is not already on.
2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
5. Wait at least 60 seconds.
6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
8. Turn on the printer if it does not automatically turn on.
