Hi @Trish2103,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The E6 error code on an HP Envy 6032 printer typically indicates a general error or hardware issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve it.
Restart the Printer
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
Check for Paper Jams
- Open the printer’s access doors and check for any paper jams or obstructions. Remove any paper found carefully.
- Check the paper path, including the input and output trays.
Check Ink Cartridges
- Open the ink cartridge access door and ensure the cartridges are installed correctly.
- Remove and reinsert the cartridges to ensure they are seated properly.
Perform a Hard Reset
- With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
- Turn the printer on.
Update Printer Firmware
- If you can get the printer online, check for any available firmware updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
Reset to Factory Settings
- If the problem persists, you can try resetting the printer to factory settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
