Hi @Trish2103,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The E6 error code on an HP Envy 6032 printer typically indicates a general error or hardware issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve it.

Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

Check for Paper Jams

  • Open the printer’s access doors and check for any paper jams or obstructions. Remove any paper found carefully.
  • Check the paper path, including the input and output trays.

Check Ink Cartridges

  • Open the ink cartridge access door and ensure the cartridges are installed correctly.
  • Remove and reinsert the cartridges to ensure they are seated properly.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
  • Turn the printer on.

Update Printer Firmware

  • If you can get the printer online, check for any available firmware updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Reset to Factory Settings

  • If the problem persists, you can try resetting the printer to factory settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
