I just wanted to offer a solution to everybody that could be having this problem. I found that it was the colour ink that was causing the problem. I took it out, completed setup, and then put it back in. It might not be perfect taking the cartridge out like that, but it prints fine now, and I'll resolve the wasted ink with HP whilst I use what is left. There was literally no solution available, other than return the product, but the fault does appear to lie with the in cartridge or the reader in the slot, so it's entirely up to you if you want to risk keeping the item. For me, set up completed, and connected to all devices, and 6 months free ink offer received.
