My OfficeJet Pro 8120e was working fine until today when it came up with the error code: UU_400_EB000A9900. I have tried re-installing HP Smart, HP EasyStart, the driver, turned the printer on and off. Nothing is working. It's a new printer, only a couple of months old. All I was trying to do was print one page. Not happy.

Hi @Jennybear,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code UU_400_EB000A9900 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8120e typically indicates a communication issue or a software-related problem. Since you've already tried reinstalling the HP Smart app, HP Easy Start, and the driver, as well as power cycling the printer, here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP Support website.
Reset the Printer:
- Perform a hard reset:
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it's turned on.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
Check Network Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, issues can arise if the printer is connected to a guest network or if the connection is unstable.
- Try reconnecting the printer to Wi-Fi:
- Go to the printer’s control panel.
- Navigate to Network Setup or Wireless Setup Wizard to reconfigure the connection.
Clear Print Queue:
- If there are any stuck print jobs in the queue, clear them. You can do this from your computer's print settings.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- Inspect the printer for any paper jams, loose connections, or any visible damage. Make sure all cartridges are properly installed.
Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP Support website. It can automatically diagnose and fix printing and scanning issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
