After changing 2 ink cartridges in my printer it will only print information about itself, but nothing from an outside source.  I have the ? mark on the printer control screen, and I get the error code 0xE0001075.  Can someone please tell me what this is and how to correct it?  Thank You.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Have you tried making a standalone copy and check if that works?

The question mark icon displays as a basic help guide to the printer functions. It is normal for it to be lit up. It is as per design.

Step 1: Reset the printer

In some cases, removing the ink cartridges and resetting the printer can clear the error message.

  1. Turn on the printer.

  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

  3. Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer. If your printer has a network or wireless connection, leave it connected.

  4. Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.

  5. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet or power strip.

  6. Wait at least 60 seconds.

  7. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

    NOTE:

HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to a wall outlet.

  8. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

  9. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

  10. Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

  11. Reinsert the ink cartridges, and then close the ink cartridge access door.

  12. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.

  13. If you disconnected the USB cable, reconnect it to the rear of the printer.

  14. Try to print.

If the issue persists, continue to the next step.

  • Check the estimated ink levels in the printer
  • Check if the protective orange plastic tapes on the ink cartridges are removed.
  • Make sure there are no paper jams inside the printer and the print carriage moves freely

Step 2: Update the printer firmware

Hi Kumar, Thank you for your help.  I did most of everything you mentioned before I asked the question, however, I did get it to print.  I was wondering why it would print out all the test pages but not print anything else.   I noticed when I tried to print something it said that my default printer was "OneBox" and that it was not responding.  I thought that was weird, so I uninstalled OneBox and now the printer is working again.  It worked fine before I changed ink cartridges, but after the change the default driver/printer became OneBox somehow.   Thank You again!
