Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Do you've any old tricolor ink with you? What is the exact error you get?

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Let me know if this helps.

Hello,

I don't have any ink no, as when I last had it it wouldn't work after trying the same thing you've said to do, with turning it on and off by the wall, unplugging etc. So I think I sent it back go HP in the end? But didn't recieve a new ink either...

I've tried a firmware update too nothing seems to have cleared the error, it just was a cartridge error coming up, on my hp app it wasn't able to monitor the amount of ink as it wasn't reading on the printer. I even tried to clan up the touch points...

Thank you for your response!! What do I do now? Do I need to order a new ink and go from there? Or?

Hi Betty,

I am on the website to see how to get replacement ink however, the bot hasnt helped much and i am in need of a replacement in order to move forward with my printer as i am currently wasting money monthly in order to keep my hp subscription going. I am a bit stuck as it seems i cannot get a replacement ink sent without having to pay a lot for a brand new one, i just want to purchase the HP plan again, as that doesn't leave me short..... any ideas?

kind regards

niamh
