Printer suddenly stopped working and displays message "There is a problem with the printhead," On HP Smart it says "There is a problem with the indicated printheads."

I've tried unplugging the printer, removing the printer from my laptop and then adding again, taking out all the print cartridges and making sure there's no dust or such.

I can't align or clean printheads as HPSmart says to fix printhead problem first.

Clean Electrical Contacts & Run Printhead Cleaning

Clean the Electrical Contacts

Thankyou for your reply.

When trying to run the cleaning tools from HP Smart, it just kept saying to fix the printhead problem first.

I tried removing the cartridges and cleaning carefully inside the printer. Unfortunately my model didn't have a removable printhead. After putting the cartridges back in, HP Smart wouldn't recognse the black cartridge, saying it was missing.

As the printer was 5 years old, I decided to just replace it and so have bought a HP Smart Tank 7005
