Hi @Julie1860,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
When your HP printer’s power button light and Wi-Fi light are flashing, and you see an error message, it usually means the printer is in an error state or trying to reconnect to the network. Here’s what you can do:
1. Note the Error Message
If the printer display shows an error code or message, that’s the key to fixing it. Could you share the exact message?
2. Common Causes
- Paper jam not fully cleared
- Cartridge issue
- Network connection failure
- Firmware glitch
3. Quick Fix Steps
- Power Reset
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check for Jam or Open Doors
- Open all access doors and check for stuck paper or loose cartridges.
- Close everything securely.
- Reconnect Wi-Fi
- On the printer screen, go to Settings → Network → Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Reconnect to your Wi-Fi.
- Update Firmware
- Visit HP’s official support page for your printer model: 👉 Official HP® Support
4. If Lights Keep Flashing
- It may indicate a critical error or setup mode.
- Try HP App: 👉 HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
