Hi @Mohammad91,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I can understand how annoying this issue must be, especially after having temporarily fixed it once and finding the solution no longer works. Let's try to get this sorted out!
- Does the error occur only when printing from Microsoft Word, or does it happen with other applications as well?
- Have you recently updated your printer drivers or the firmware for the HP Color LaserJet Pro M252dw?
- Is the printer connected wirelessly, or are you using a USB cable to connect it to your computer?
Let's try these steps.
Check Printer Queue and Restart Print Spooler:
- Go to the Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click your printer > See what's printing. Clear any stuck print jobs.
- Additionally, restart the Print Spooler service by searching for “services.msc” in the Start menu, finding Print Spooler, right-clicking, and selecting Restart.
Update Printer Drivers and Firmware:
- Go to the HP support website, find your printer model, and download the latest drivers and firmware updates. This can resolve compatibility issues between the printer and your computer, especially with software like Microsoft Word.
Reconfigure Wi-Fi Settings:
- If the issue occurs only over Wi-Fi, try disconnecting and reconnecting the printer to the network. You might also want to check if the printer is connected to the correct network and not an outdated or incorrect Wi-Fi connection.
Test with a Different Application:
- Try printing from other applications (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Notepad, etc.). This will help determine if the issue is specific to Microsoft Word or if it’s affecting all print jobs from any software.
Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website. This tool automatically detects and fixes many common printing issues, including connectivity and driver-related problems.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
