Hi @Lilshow22

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Steps to Fix the B8047A26 Error on HP OfficeJet 8022:

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Unplug the Printer: Disconnect the power cable from the printer and leave it unplugged for at least 60 seconds. This can help clear temporary issues that might be causing the error.
  • Plug it Back In: After waiting a minute, plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Check if the error persists. If the issue was a minor glitch, this step may resolve it.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Unplug the Printer: Disconnect the printer from the power outlet.
  2. Hold the Power Button: While unplugged, press and hold the power button for 20-30 seconds to discharge any residual power in the printer's system.
  3. Wait a minute, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  4. See if the error code is cleared.

3. Check for Firmware Issues

  • Check for Firmware Updates:
    • If your printer's screen is still functional, navigate to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer and follow the prompts to check for and install any available firmware updates.
    • Alternatively, you can use the HP Smart app on your phone or computer to check for updates.

4. Check for Obstructions or Paper Jams

  • Open the printer’s access door to inspect for any paper jams or obstructions in the print path. Even small bits of paper or debris can cause a malfunction.
  • Manually move the ink cartridges or check the paper feed mechanism for any issues.

5. Factory Reset the Printer

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings.
  • Find the Restore Defaults or Factory Reset option and follow the prompts.
  • Once the printer restarts, check if the error has been cleared.

6. Check for Hardware Issues

  • Examine the printhead and cartridge area for any visible issues or loose parts.
  • If you're comfortable doing so, you can try to remove and reinsert the printhead or re-seat the ink cartridges to ensure they’re properly installed.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
