Hi @Johangin1,

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 is showing the error code B8ACE51A and isn’t functioning properly. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

    a. Power Reset (Soft Reset)
        • Keep the printer turned ON.
        • Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
        • Wait for 60 seconds.
        • Plug it back directly into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors or extension cords) and turn it on.

    b. Check Ink Cartridges and Cartridge Contacts
        • Open the ink cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to move.
        • Remove each cartridge, inspect for leaks or damage, and gently clean the copper contacts using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water.
        • Reinsert the cartridges firmly and close the door.

    c. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions
        • Remove the rear access door or duplexer and check for jammed paper or debris.
        • Check the input and output trays, scanner area, and carriage path.
        • Clear any stuck paper or small pieces, then reinstall all parts.

    d. Check for Firmware Updates (If Accessible)
        • On the printer screen, go to Setup (gear icon) > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer.
        • If you're using a computer, open HP Smart / HP Printer Assistant > Settings > Printer Updates and check for the latest firmware.

    e. Restart Printer and Network (If Connected Wirelessly)
        • Power off the router, wait for 30 seconds, then power it back on.
        • Restart the printer and reconnect it to Wi-Fi if required.

    f. Check Printer Settings and Internal Functionality
        • Try printing a Network Configuration Page or Printer Status Report from the control panel.
        • If the screen is responsive, go to Setup > Reports > Printer Status Report to test if internal functions are working.

I hope this helps.
