HP OfficeJet Pro 8025
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 and it is giving an error message that states, "There is a problem with the printhead.  Event Code 62.80.24".  I have gone to Settings -> printer maintenance -> Clean the printhead and I get this same message there too.

I called HP and they wanted to charge me for over-the-phone technical support.  The individual that I talked to told me that it is unlikely that he would be able to assist me in fixing this issue.   He also suggested that it would be better for me just to buy a new printer.

Clean the printhead

  1. Open the door to access to the cartridges.

  2. Wait until the carriage stops moving before you continue.

  3. Push the tab on a cartridge, and then pull the cartridge from its slot. Perform these steps for all the cartridges.

      caution:

Do not leave the cartridges outside the printer longer than 30 minutes. Doing so can result in damage to both the printer and the cartridges.

I don't see this latch in step 4.  Are we sure that this is possible with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025?
