Hi @Kc2025,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code 13.03.01 on HP printers typically indicates a paper jam in Tray 2. You've already cleared the paper and tried restarting the printer, but if that hasn’t resolved the issue, here are a few additional troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check for Any Hidden Paper or Obstructions
- Open Tray 2: Ensure there are no small pieces of paper stuck in the rollers or along the paper path.
- Inspect the Paper Path: Open the printer’s rear access door and check for any paper jammed in that area.
- Roller Inspection: Check the rollers inside Tray 2 for any dirt or paper remnants that might be causing an issue. If needed, clean the rollers gently with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water.
Check Tray 2 for Proper Alignment
- Make sure that the paper in Tray 2 is properly aligned and not overloaded. Ensure that the paper guides are snug against the edges of the paper stack.
Reset the Printer
- Perform a hard reset by turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source for at least 60 seconds, and then plugging it back in and powering it on.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
- If the paper jam message persists, there may be an issue with the printer’s sensors or software. Try updating or reinstalling the printer drivers on your computer.
Perform a Printer Self-Test or Diagnostic Check
- Some HP printers have a self-diagnostic feature. You can usually access this via the printer's control panel or the HP software on your computer to check for any internal issues.
If these steps don’t clear the error, the issue could be a sensor failure or a hardware malfunction in Tray 2.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
