HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This problem has been identified by several members of this community.  I have yet to see a viable option for solving the issue, so figured I'd pose the question again.
My brand new HP 9135e printer - installed 4 days ago - has been giving me the fatal error - F0.01.01.02 - on an almost daily basis.  I can reset it by unplugging, clearing, and plugging back in.

For the HP tech who may respond:
There are no paper jams anywhere.
My cartridges are seated correctly and are still the starter cartridges sent with the printer.
I did purchase the printer from an Office Supply store.
It is plugged into a wall outlet - no power strip, no surge suppressor.
Firmware is up to date.
No problems when HP smart scan is run.
No obvious trigger - randomly pops up  at least once a day.

So my question is HOW DO WE STOP THIS from happening!  It is an obvious problem with this printer and I would think HP would be well aware of it by now.  Is there a firmware update in the works for this???

I don't want to return the printer and go with another company as I like a lot of the features of this one and have been a loyal HP customer for years.  However, my small business depends on faxes and printing.  If I have to constantly reset this printer, then I may be missing vital communication from my clients and that costs me money.

Please advise what could be triggering this error code and some way to fix it.

Hi @yellowhorsevet,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The F0.01.01.02 error on your HP 9135e printer, indicating a fatal error, is indeed frustrating. Given that you've already checked several common issues and performed some troubleshooting steps, here are a few additional suggestions to help resolve this problem.

  • Check for Firmware Updates: Although you mentioned that your firmware is up to date, it's worth checking again for any new updates. Sometimes, updates are released that address specific issues not covered in earlier releases.
  • Reinstall Printer Drivers: Uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers on your computer. Sometimes a clean install can resolve issues that aren’t fixed by updating firmware alone.
  • Check for Overheating: Ensure that the printer is in a well-ventilated area. Overheating can sometimes cause errors. Make sure nothing is blocking the vents and that the printer is not placed in a hot or direct sunlight area.
  • Check Power Supply: Even though the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, ensure that the power supply is stable. If possible, try a different outlet to rule out any potential issues with the current one.
  • Reset the Printer: Perform a factory reset on the printer. This can sometimes clear out underlying issues causing persistent errors.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
