Deskjet F2280 - black cartridge error light blinking.  changed cartridge but blinking persists

I understand that you are facing issues with the blinking lights. 

 

If you have performed all the steps from this document mentioned regarding this error and still having issues, either the cartridges are faulty or the printer needs service.

I've tried two black cartridges with no success.  Given that the printer is around 20 years old, I feel that the cost of service/ repair will exceed the cost of replacement

Wow. 20 years? Amazing. Well, it is time for a new printer 😊

 

I recommend you contact phone support for more options on getting a replacement printer.
