After buying this printer, i went to set it up, following the instructions.

Direct Connect came up to a point where it asked for a password for the printer, not for my wireless, but for WIFI Direct

Where can i find this password?

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post. 

I understand that you are looking to get the Wireless direct password of your printer, is that right?

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you. 

Are you able to make a copy on the printer without any issues? (This would let us know if the printer is working fine.)

Press the Wireless button and the Information button at the same time.

This would print the network configuration page of your printer. 

Network configuration page will have the password for wireless direct.

If your printer is configured over a wireless network, capture the IP address of the printer from the report.

Open any browser on your computer and enter the IP Address of the printer on the Addressbar and hit enter. 

This would bring up the EWS page of your printer on the browser. 

On the EWS page, you can change the password of the wireless direct as well if you need to do so.
