Hello,
I have seen other users post a request for the steps to take in order to factory reset an Officejet 4630, and the response typically seems to be that they're sent a private message. I was hoping I could receive these instructions as well. I have an Officejet 4630 that I need to factory reset, and would greatly appreciate the assistance.
Thank you!

Thanks for stopping by the HP community. A very good day to you. I will be glad to assist you and let’s get right to it. Excellent analysis and good presentation of the issue. It is amply appreciated.
Let me gather some information for better clarity to assist you correctly:
- Why do you need to factory reset the printer?
- Is it working correctly?
I will be providing a roadmap with some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. Let us try these steps:
- Please perform a hard reset on the printer from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-4630-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5305049/model/530... and follow instructions from the section “Step 1: Reset the printer”
- If you are able to access the printer’s front panel and have a wireless connection then you should be able to restore network defaults on the printer from this user guide link: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03909822 refer to page 8 for instructions on how to do it.
- Now check if the issue is corrected.
Otherwise, I will send a private message to perform a semi-full reset to factory settings. Check your forum private message box in the upper right corner next to the bell icon.
Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂
