Product: HP Envy 5010 All in One
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer suddenly started displaying the message 'Paper tray is open. Close paper tray to continue'

 Can't get rid of message. Won't print.

Tray is definitely closed, no blockages or paper jams. 

Anyone else come across this?

Remove the tray and inspect those 2 tabs if broken you will need to replace the tray. That tabs are used to press the paper tray switch in the printer so the printer knows the tray is present.

Thank you very much! One of the tabs is indeed broken!

The part no. is F0V63-60005

 

Problem is, this model is no longer supported (I only bought it 25 months ago!). Have tried everywhere but no luck.

Do you by any chance know where I can get this part?

Sadly, these types of parts are typically not available. Keep in mind that the number you quoted which is not consistent with HP numbers is likely a casting number not a part number. Checking local online and Ebay for someone parting one out is about the best option beyond jimmying the switch so it always thinks the tray is there.
