Hello,
I'm actually having a False paper Jam with my HP C5180.
Each time I'm trying to print I'm getting an error PAPER JAM please open Rear Door and clean the paper jam.
I've tried several operations but the problem is still the same :
I've opened the printer and can confirm 100% no paper is jammed inside.
I've reset the printer to manufacturing settings , I"ve tried thru Services menu to clean errors.
I've tried with different PC , thru network and USB.
IMPORTANT : The paper Jam dissapear if I print with FAST quality PRINT option in the driver but fews minutes after the problem appears again and Paper Jam is displayed in the front panel.
I suspect a paper detection sensor in bad shape at the rear of the printer . Is there any possibility to disable this sensor or to confirm that this sensor is in bad shape ?
Thanks for your help.

Splendid effort and fabulous description of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you here. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you
As I see you have exhausted all possible troubleshooting steps and unfortunately nothing has helped to resolve this issue.
Let's try to do a hard reset on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.
Please make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Remove USB cable, if present.
Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
If the issue persists, I would personally suggest this to be a possible hardware failure, before you come to any conclusion, I would suggest you go through the steps suggested in the support document for - A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays on the HP Photosmart C5100 All-in-One Printer Series

Thanks a lot for your quick reply.
Unfortunately, it looks like I'm facing an hardware problem with my HP Photosmart C5180 printer.
Is there any way to shortcut the rear paper jam sensor in order to continue using the printer ?
If no way then as it's an old printer I'll certainly send it for recyclable dishes.
Thanks
