I have an HP Envy 7450. It won't print and I get "out of paper" messages, but in fact there is paper loaded. I take the paper out of the tray and put it back, but this doesn't help. Meanwhile, HP support won't answer the phone and the website says support isn't available there either -- in spite of the fact that I've paid for an extended warranty and for HP "Instaink"!

 

Do you have any suggestions other than to find a new printer and printer company? And if you think I should but a printer from another company do you have any specific suggestions for a better brand and model?

I also loaded the tray on top of the printer, in case this is the "photo tray." I got a message saying first the photo tray is blocked, but this obviously is not the case. I then got another saying the photo tray is empty!

 

I probably just need to get a new and better printer.

Your printer name seems to be incorrect. Please help us with the right Printer name.

 

Meanwhile try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

 

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.
