Hi
I am new to the community and would appreciate any advice you may be able to share with me.
I have an HP Envy 4527. As my black ink was low I purchased a replacement from Asda. Took it home and installed it. It then stated that it was incorrectly installed. I repeated the process multiple times and searched online for trouble shooting. I tried the various processes recommended such as cleaning, switching on and off to no avail.
As it was an urgent print item, I went back and purchased another cartridge today and tried again and it worked perfectly.
How do I return the brand new but faulty cartridge? Asda won't accept it as how would they know if you were returning an empty one?
Your thoughts wouod be appreciated.

Each HP ink cartridge and customer-replaceable printhead is warrantied to be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the period of the warranty. This warranty pertains to any HP ink cartridge or customer-replaceable printhead when used in its designated HP or authorized original equipment manufacturer (OEM) printing device. See the product manual for the printer to determine the correct ink cartridge and printhead selection.
For clarity, customer-replaceable printheads have latches which can be opened and closed to secure the part. Printheads that are not customer-replaceable are covered under a separate printer warranty.
