Diabolical service from HP. I bought the printer last autumn and it went seriously wrong in January racking up printing it hadn't done. I am normally under my 50 pages a month but for some reason HP said I had printed well in excess of 1700 sheets with the appropriate bill. A sheer impossibility.. After a great deal of time wasting negotiation they decided tor replace this faulty printer. UPS said printer delivered and it hadn't been. UPS could provide no proof of delivery or where if it had been delivered the printer had been left. Contacted all my neighbours and they had seen or heard nothing. Eventually the printer appears on my doorstep with no explanation 4-5 days later. Initially problems with this new printer HP explained away but within a couple of weeks ever further problems. I began to get suspicious as to what was going on and HP finally admitted if they replace an item under guarantee one only gets somebody else's faulty printer sent back for repair and now sent out as 'new'. No wonder there are problems. To compound the issue they say there is only a one month warranty on this 'new' printer and even though I contacted them before this warranty ran out they refuse to replace a printer that now wont work at all. They want to go through troubleshooting all of which has been done before to no avail but even then will only supply yet another reconditioned printer. This needs to be more widely known. The shop I bought the original printer from say they have never heard of an item replaced under. warranty being a refurbished item.
