If your Officejet 6830 has a printhead error and was purchased less than two years ago HP should replace it without charge. See the document here for information.

Similar to all other 6830 owners, my printhead failed at 1.5 yrs, meaning, out of warranty!!! A responsible company would have made a mass recall for a "know" product defect in order to keep their printer market share. But no, somehow HP doesn't need this business sgement...the insignificant consumer who buys a printer from Costco for example. Goodbye HP.....

Thanks Bob for posting the link. Our OfficeJet 6835 from Costco (purchased 10/2015) started having this problem last week. I was ready to swear off HP forever after finding out this is a known issue and my printer was out of warranty. The "Product Replacement for Printhead" page says it's eligible for replacement so I opened a service order. This is the first serious issue I've ever had with HP printers. Good to see the company is trying to correct the problem.
