Fax v Printer

Hi I have replaced my PSC 2210 with Officejet 4620 it is working OK with the exception that when  I select print it wants to send it to the fax and not the printer I then have to select printer from drop down menu, is there anyway of making the printer the default option.

The computer is running Win 7 32 bit

It seems the fax has been set as the default.  You can change this as follows:  Click Start, Devices and Printers, right-click on the Officejet 4620, select "Set as Default" and click on the printer if it brings up the printer and fax.

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 6978, just bought and installed.  Non-wireless setup, just supports my desktop CPU.  Everything works fine, except I can not print from the internet, because when I try to it always thinks I want to fax, and the print fails.

I have the same problem when printing from the CPU (non-internet), but then I get a chance to uncheck fax and check print before it tries to print.  From the internet I don't get this option.  I'm using Mozilla Firefox latest version browser.  

Need help on how to make print always the first option.  I never use fax.

Forgot to add.  I tried your suggestion, but didn't get the option of print or fax.
