Hello Hp Envy Photo printer here.
I am having problems with receiving and sending out fax. I tried the fax report test and everything passed except tone dial which shouldn’t affect anything. However it keeps saying no answer and the fax line is busy. What should I do? I have the auto-answer on and the Error correction mode on, but it’s still not working. Also I called the fax machine and only got a “line busy” back. Please help, thank you!

Unplug the fax machine and and call the number again. If you get a busy signal it means that your phone company has not configured your lines properly. Even better, if you have an analog phone line, plug that in and test ingoing and outgoing. Also make sure you are plugged into the correct jack on the back of the printer. There is typically 2 one for the phone line from the wall and one for plugging in an extension phone.
