HP OfficeJet Pro 8710
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Can someone tell me how to roll back an update to my HP OfficeJet Pro 8710.

It was working just fine until I did the firmware update then after a month or so

it stopped recognising the ink cartridges I was putting into the printer.

I was getting the usual error messages about not recognising cartridge and to change it.

I have been using the same cartridges for over 12 months with no problems at all

Thank You in anticipation.

I had that last year and try as I might could get no result..Printer in the bin.  Sorry not to be able to help. I use simple printers with an uncomplicated USB connection!!  I have three Imacs, each with their own printer.  So really nothing should ever go wrong (I amt he only one you uses them!)

Thanks B-Will. T

he Firmware reports back as been WBP2CN1919BR
2019-05-10..

I am sure an update has been done since then. August maybe ??

I am wondering if the firmware is screwed up ?

I want to Roll back to a previous firmware can it be done ?

This printer is for the skip if I don't get a  answer here to fix it!

I think there is all ready enough plastic polluting the environment.

So please if anyone can help make suggestions.

Lets give this printer a new lease on life.

Thanks Fatall

for your thoughts!

Sorry to hear you had to bin your printer for the same reasons .

If I don't get this fixed it won't be another HP printer I will buy.

It will be an Eco Tank fill printer and get away from these rip off cartridge !!

Thanks all for your assistance in this matter...
