Hi @Darr6

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY 6000e printer is constantly flashing an "E," it typically indicates an error. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check for Error Messages

  • Look for any specific error messages on the printer’s display or in the HP Smart app. Sometimes the "E" may be part of a larger error code.

2. Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset any temporary issues.

3. Check Ink Cartridges

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are installed correctly. Open the printer, remove the cartridges, and then reinstall them to make sure they are seated properly.
  • Check for any protective tape that might still be on the cartridges, as this can cause issues.

4. Check Paper Jams

  • Inspect the printer for any paper jams or obstructions. Remove any jammed paper and ensure that the paper path is clear.

5. Network Issues (if applicable)

  • If you are using the printer wirelessly, make sure it is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. You can also try reconnecting it to the network.

6. Firmware Update

  • Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. You can do this through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

7. Factory Reset

  • If the issue persists, consider performing a factory reset:
    • This process may vary, so refer to the printer’s user manual for specific instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
