Hello,
Recently my printer stopped working, meaning it is always offline, no
print jobs, ready and go leds are always on, no matter the type of
resets I tried.
From the service manual I get that this is a 'fatal error' and the main board(formatter)
has reached the end of its life, needing replacement.
My question to you is: could formatter board (Q7804-60001)
in HP LJ P2015 printer be compatible to formatter board (cc375-60001)
in my HP LJ P2014 printer?
There are 2 reasons I am asking this:
1. The layout of the 2 boards is similar: connectors position are in the same place
and have the same no. of pins.
2. I have not yet been able to get the cc375-60001 board, but found the
Q7804-60001 board instead available for purchase from private owner.
Waiting for your advice on this matter as soon as possible.
Thank you

they do not cross reference as interchangeable in HP manuals, so unless someone posts here and says they have actually done it, I would say you have a 50/50 chance of it working. If the board is cheap enough might be worth the gamble.

Ok, so I decided to give this a try and it really works. My printer is now seen as hp lj p2015 in devices and printers, and the driver installed automatically in win7-32bit. The formatter board is code Q7804-80301-REVD with a RJ45 LAN port, and the connectors are just a bit recessed from the back panel, but the USB cable fits through the connector hole easily.
I post pics for you, if you happen to be confronted with a similar situation.
