Ho deskjet 3522

Hello i have a hp desket 3522 printer that ive done the software updates support recommended. It will do great for a couple times and then it always freezes up or if paper gets jammed it wont restart the job. I often times have to unplug it and restart because it freezes and wont do anything else. It also will tell me my carttridge isnt a genuine HP cartridge which i know it is because i ordered it directly from hp website. Which i also would like to know how to return a brand new one that came damaged from HP.  Can anyone advise me what I should do next? Its very frustrating when my printer stops mid print job for little to no reason all the time!

@Monica50801, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Reset the printer

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer and you can also get help with the defective ink received.

Hope this helps!
