Hi all
I have "the problem" with the CP5225 laser printer: Error 50.7.
Is there any solution to this other than replacing the fuser unit? It has not printet a lot, the fuser looks 100% ok like new, but I get this errorcode.
It could be the fuser, but could also be the mainboard that is "talking" with the fuser.... who knows..? It prints perfectly - then the error comes, I just have to turn the printer off and on and it prints again.
If I could replace the fuser, there are several units.:
RM1-6185-550CN
RM1-6185-660CN
CE710-69010
Does anyone know whats the dif between the first two?? 550 and 660.... is this just a production code? it isn't listet anywere other than RM1-6185 but I can see it on the box of items listed on ebay, or similar sites.
Please help with a solution - specially what todo with the error.

On the right side of the fuser is a rotating sensor flag that tells the printer when the fuser is in pressure release mode. The error you are getting indicates a problem with that sensor. Most common I have seen is that the rotating flag is damaged and so does not tell the printer when the fuser is engaged. See the red arrow in the picture below for guidance. This part is not available for sale from HP. You could check to see if you can find a used fuser or someone selling that part on Ebay, otherwise you will need a new fuser if that flag is broken. Note it is a semicircle so you need to look for a jagged edge that will show that it is has been broken.
