Hello, some days ago my GT5820 printer stopped printing at the middle of a print job. After checking the icons and symbols, it appears to be a Incompatible Cartrdige Error. However, the cartridge is original (in fact, the printer failed at the middle of a printing!). The printer has not been used so much, in fact, I don't have recharged the original inks yet.
Please, someone could help me?
Thank you in advance, and Happy Christmas!

Hi @gusegal
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the cartridge error.
Let's try these steps to reset the printer -
1) Take out the cartridges.
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
If the issue still persists, try step# 3 from here to clean the ink cartridges.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Asmita6658,
Thank you very much for your support.
I'm back at my home, ready to try some things to fix the Cartridge error situation. At this point I have a doubt: you told me to take out the cartridges, unplug the power, wait, plug the power and put the cartridges again. However, are you sure that this steps apply for a GT5820 printer? My doubts come from the owners manual, where it says clearly that if the printer was working fine, one shouldn't take out the cartridges because that would render them unusable.
So, are you sure with your suggestions? If you say yes, I go ahead.
Thank you again!
