HP Laserjet 1022
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to successfully setup my HP Laserjet 1022 on my Echolife EG8145V5 modem. Having problem getting the printer to print successfully.

Screen shots of modem and printer error below.

Modem recognizes the printer but can't successfully print. Any ideas what to do to resolve the problem?

When I connect the HP 1022 printer directly to my laptop it prints successfully.

This printer is a host based device, meaning it does not contain a PCL interpreter and relies on the driver installed on the computer. As such, connecting it to your modem via USB is probably not going to work.

Hi.

An HP Laserjet 1022 is an Host-Based printer, these are more limited printers which process the print job on the hardware level:

For my experience, most Print Servers only supports PCL XL or Postscripts printers, not Host-Based printers, but couldn't find any documentation on a such on your router documentation.

I assume this is the reason you experience this behavior, but suggest verifying with your router service provider about its capabilities.

Regardless, I can see from your last screenshot that an LPT1 port is set, this is likely incorrect as LPT1 should not be selected for a such, please check below video resource. just mentioning this fact, although above should still be verified, if any such is supported by the print server:
