Seeing this error and trying to resolve

Most commonly 49 errors are firmware related. If you consistently see the error, the first step is to isolate. Disconnect any usb or network cables and restart the printer. If it comes to ready with no connections then firmware is the likely culprit, often triggered by an update to a program like Adobe Acrobat. If you still get the error even with printer isolated then either firmware corruption or failed formatter (least likely) is going to be the issue. Perform a factory reset, update the firmware and see if that resolves the issue.  If it does not then in my experience you have a bad formatter.

Removed only connection (ethernet) and no further issues....swapped ethernet cable, swapped to different network port, re installed latest firmware, even tried different ip address in case there was another printer on the print server with a conflicting ip address....every time an ethernet cable was connected, the 49 error returned...

Removed ethernet,  connected usb, re installed driver on pc, and so far, after printing over 100 pages, still no error.
